You can eat your favorite hamburger in two ways – either with the ‘easy’ way or the ‘hard’ way. This actually symbolize how we do things – productive or non-productive way.

Meanwhile, I’m taking this opportunity to introduce the main characters of Mindshortcut comic strip. Introducing Jeezy, Jaden and Francis. Three of them opened an consulting company that provides various productivity related courses to various organizations. Each of them has their own working ethics or way of doing their jobs.

Here’s the summary of the main characters:

  • Jeezy has a stylish outlook, versatile, and more open minded than the other two guys.
  • Francis has a ‘Beethoven-look’, straight-forward person and much conservative than others.
  • On the other hand, Jaden – who’s a GTD guy, and has his huge control of his time. However, he often mislead by GTD ideas that would affects his productivity at work.

Most of the times we are very complacent with our current situation. Therefore, we tend to follow the path of others without any consideration. If you’ve this similar experience, it’s time to hang around with creative people – not with a bunch of losers or water cooler gang. Your creative-booster will be stimulated if get along with creative, thoughtful and motivated people.

About creating your playlist with your Gmail part – that’s true.  Sounds awkward but that’s how I handle mp3 files that were sent by my friends.

Whenever people are discussing about Getting Things Done (GTD), you’ll hear about Blackberry – a smartphone that is associated with GTD. You don’t have to become too dependent on gadgets in order to organize your work, handling your schedules and so and so forth. If you don’t have a clear objective of using Blackberry (or Blackberry Bold), it won’t improve your productivity and it will become a major distraction of your life.

Some people read fast. Some don’t. You should read books according to your own pace. Not all of us are capable to practice speed reading. The most important thing is that you are able to assimilate the important points from the book. Reading is supposed to be someone’s habit and pleasure – not a reason to boast.

I’m enjoy reading on bed before bedtime. Therefore, ideas do normally appear at night especially when I was about to sleep. I would jot down short notes on a Post-it pad or my notebook which I normally placed it beside my bed. Make sure these writing utensils – pencils, pens, marker; come in handy when you want to write important stuff before you go back to bed.

During my campus days, most of the lecturers were totally psyched about making presentations with Powerpoint. Nevertheless, none of them realized that the students weren’t impressed with the lectures especially those Powerpoint presentations with lengthy texts and less-graphic slides. I wished that I would able to persuade them to apply the Classy-Black-and-White Method.

Introducing my new comic strip. I was trying to make fun of people who used lousy Powerpoint (PPT) in their presentation. As far as I concerned, most presenters had conveyed distorted messages to their audience with their messy, dull and disorganized PPT.

The ‘idol’ idea is dedicated to people who want to improve their Powerpoint presentation to gain good rapport from their audience. Therefore, presenters need to do enough preparation – gather adequate and accurate information, make efficient and simpe Powerpoint slides and improvise; before they start to present on stage.

I’ll introduce the characters of the comic strip soon.
