They are several things you need in your workstation. It is much different that men’s workstation. Your workstation is not meant for only office work – it is also for your family matters including:

  • Your children’s important documents, homework
  • Recipes
  • Calendar planning

In fact, women are able to perform multi-tasking skills efficiently as compared with their men counterparts.

What type of workstation should you have to perform all these professional and family-related tasks?

Proper filling system is needed to sort out documents into your files into your cabinet drawer. Normally an ergonomic office desk has limited number of drawers. It is wise that you purchase extra drawers to file up these important tools – checks, envelopes, pens, stationeries and so on and so forth. If you are in a tight budget, you can consider placing your files into your kitchen cabinet.

If you want to setup a kitchen office, make sure the electrical wires are well-organized so that you can place your notebook and computer on the kitchen set without the occurrence of short circuit.

Working at the kitchen has vast ergonomic importance due to its flexibility working style. You can stand while doing your work as you have place your computer or laptop on the kitchen set. It prevents the muscle fatigue from happening due to sitting on the chair for long hours. When you want to sit, you can continue your work at the dining table. Cost of setting up a kitchen workspace is indeed cheaper than the conventional home office setup.

However, your working space does not accentuate on one location. That means you will have several workspaces at:

  • the living room.
  • the kitchen.
  • the playing room or study room in which your children will use this room to play or study.
  • laundry room.
